stretching it to 16 minutes...

My friend Devarshi was kind enough to direct me here, to relive my sputtering-beached-whale-about-to-die routine again, and my mom sent this link, which I must admit, was a nice salve for that wound inflicted by the Whoregonian yesterday. (Look at the seventh paragraph down or so.) Lastly, my hero Mike sent me this page, certain that a phone call from Barack Obama would soon be forthcoming.

Knowing that people saw merit in the question really helps console me when I can't shake the image of me up there, sinking like the Titanic (only bigger).

You did good. Don't let a slight stutter get you down... And don't let those morons at the Oregonian upset you either... they were just jealous that the best question of the day came from Salem, rather than from their beloved Portland.

Shawn pointed out that digg website to me earlier. You were the 2nd most popular story of the day!

15, 14, 13, 12....

You rock! You asked the best question and got a full 5 minute answer!

Don't sweat the rest of it.

BTW, Mike's link didn't work. Or is it just my ancient computer having issues?

fyi: mike's link was just a still shot, not a video.

The link from Mike just takes me to gmail. It redirects itself to my gmail, since that's the one saved on my computer.

that's bizarre. it works for me, and no one else has mentioned a problem--they're probably all sick of hearing about it and have stopped looking.

i will forward his email directly to you. :)

that's so cool that your question was recognized as 'most memorable'. adam is right about the oregonian being jealous. i am still in awe that my friend had such a marvelous moment :) btw, i can't see the mike link either, it sends me to gmail home page.
